Cavite

Mt. Marami

Together with “Climb & Dive” family , we had a chance to visit Mt. Marami.  This is the largest participants I’ve joined as of now, with 29 climbers. Just like the mountain we were about to climb. We are also many (“marami”).

As we head to Cavite, we almost occupied the Mini Bus Bound to Naic and Ternate. We started our trek around 11:00 in the morning. Took our lunch along the shaded trail. We reached the campsite after three hours of trekking.

Socials is my favorite part of any climb. It’s where everyone loosens up and mingles with one another. We drank, played games, talked about life experiences and shared a something about ourselves. Every climb is different from the other, but the enjoyment and blissful experiences of mountaineering are priceless, these are the things we will never get anywhere else.

Sunrise greeted us a good morning, another day to conquer mountain. Early day, we reached the summit, from there we’ve also seen the sequel of this mountain, the nearby neighboring mountain – the Blockbuster Pico de loro.

After reaching the summit and some picture taking, the group decided to head back to campsite and prepare our breakfast.

The sun was blazing by the time we broke camp and proceeded to head down the mountain. Some of the mountaineer’s termed this climb as notorious. At first I’m clueless why, but as I explored this mountain, I realized that it is because of the sun’s exposure, this being notoriously acute when dry.

We had a hassle free ride with Kuya Troy, the driver of Mini bus who brought us to jump-off area. He also offered his mini bus as our service heading back to Baclaran.

Successful event for Outdoor Trippers and Climb&Dive Family.. Cheeers.. Until our next climb
